American Belief in Movie

On this world the movie made by Hollywood play two roles, it is not only the entertainment of people with different colors of skin or races or beliefs but also the carrier of American spirit and the object of values. Therefore,when watching an American movie, our eyes, firstly focus on "America", the second concern is the "movie".

Ordinary Americans can find the most general also the most ideal and life code in their mind are courage, optimism, integrity, democracy and etc. But in my opinion, other than these moral standards abided by most people, the American belief has a unique things exist, this is persistence which is almost to the stubborn.

In the movie "ferrest Gump", although he was not born as healthy as other kids, but he never give up what he did. He keeps running, ran into the rugby team, ran into the university, and ran into the degree. In the Vietnam war , he ran back to his life, and ran back to the honor and friendship. This persistence inspired American belief and was worship by Americans.

I think the examples of the essay are good. For instance, the families in the remote area in China just chase for staying in big cities, they keep a blind eye on the fierce competition in those cities. When those coming from poor areas work in big cities, they always get stuck into many sorts of difficulties they have never thought about. Life to them seems very tense and knotty. So it's necessary to face the reality and know better of the society in case falling into trouble.

Thoughts about belief

Everybody has his own beliefs, some of them accord with the reality, while some just run far away from it. It’s of vital importance whether our beliefs are realistic or not.
Take a funny story for example, once there was a lazy man who had a strong belief that he could dig a huge bucket of gold. Then he kept on digging without doing other work no matter what other people say to him. Then day after day he became poorer and weaker. Of course he dug out nothing but branches and stones. One day, after digging for too long hours, he fell into the hole and died, it’s clear to us that all he had done was digging a tomb for himself. So from this story we can see the importance of having correct reliefs.
From my standpoint of view, setting up a goal in the long run is the reflection of belief. Since only having an idea about fighting for the future is not enough. We should put the idea into practice by making plans in details. For instance, I’d like to do some scientific researches in the future on chemistry. It’s too hard for those without much special knowledge to achieve this goal. So I study very hard all the time so that I smoothly attend a key university which is famous for chemical engineering in my country-China. And now, since I have interest in chemistry, and my major is just that, it seems I have moved a step towards my dream. My belief about success is everyone can succeed if he tries his best and wouldn’t easily surrender to the difficulties he meets.
All in all, keep a correct belief in mind and set up goals for it, you can’t miss the chance for success in the road of life. Just struggle for it!

My thoughts about belief

In my opinion, religion is a specific kind of belief and it is included in the region of belief. Nearly all the things in the religion can not be proved or seen by the people around the world, but people still try to be loyal to the tenets , the words by their religionous leaders. Just like what I have said on the class, in some religions, poeple are told that if they do something good when they are alive in the world and you will go to paradise after death. Itself is quite weird, because nobody has ever seen the paradise, but these loyal people still stick to these tenets.

Maybe religion is a kind of belief that may has something to do with the God. However, normal belief is quite common in our daily life. The belief is in our mind and we do what exactly what the belief requires to do and always hope to get what the belief has promised to give us. For instance, children in remote area of China are always told to study hard and try best to be admitted in some famous universities in big cities like Shanghai, Beijing, and then you will find a job in the big cities and stay there to have a more comfortable life that is much better than the miserable and poor life in the remote area. This is just the belief that exists in millions of teenagers in these backward area, and they stick to it and pay their efforts without hesitation. When they finally pay whatever they can and ask for the belief to make his promise, the Mr belief says that I am a wrong belif, and I can never give you what you originally want, because job competition has bacome so firece that it is hard for these children to find a job in big cities and the price of apartments is so high that it may take their lifetime to purchase them. It is so pathetic... Being rebelled by one's belief can be some kind of the most cruel things in the world. The pain brought about by it can hardly be measured by money and energy. Someone lose heart for good after they are rebelled by belief, Some still keep going and sticks to their original belief, others change their belief and went fighting with the new belief. Life is just like a gambol, and belief is just your stake and you go gambol with the reality and objectivity. Someone is the winner because he always make his belief closer to reality, while someone owed a huge debt to the reality, for he is always make his belief far away from the truth and the ability that he has. What kind of people do you want to be? Winner or loser?

My view about belief

I always think belief is a good thing， though I am not a man with much belief. I think belief can be very helpful in three ways.
First, belief can be the pushing power that makes us moving forward. When people have strong belief, they won't easily give up doing the things they believe in. It is belief that makes them perseverant. Whenever we are stuck in a tough situation, when we think of our belief, we will be energetic again, and find a way to make it.
Second, belief can set limits on our behavior. We won't do anything bad which contradict with our belief unscrupulously. Otherwise, we will betray our belief. That is probably the reason why people who have religion are doing charity all over the world.
Last but not least, belief can bring people together. When two people have similar beliefs, they usually will become friends. Belief is like a bridge, which can turn two strangers into intimate friends.
What I wonder about belief is that what is the view of Americans. I thought every American has a religion, is that true?

The impact of Coca-Cola on Atlanta

As the original place where Coca-Cola was born, Atlanta is sure to be influenced by Coca-Cola a lot.

During this trip，I've seen so many impacts of Coca-Cola on Atlanta. On our way to the center of Atlanta, we've seen another skyscraper which has a huge Coca-Cola logo on it. I think that is another base of Coca-Cola in Atlanta. We also passed some bulletins which serve for commercial use by Coca-Cola. There are just plenty of Coca-Cola logos everywhere in Atlanta. I think Coca-Cola has already become part of people's life in Atlanta, which is irreplaceable.

When we got into the center of Coca-Cola, I was deeply moved by the hospitality of the staff there. I also saw a lot of native residents from Atlanta. Even though they have already been to the center of Coca-Cola for some times, they are still visiting it with great passion. I think that reflects the impact of Coca-Cola on Atlanta very well. People always have endless passion for Coca-Cola, even if they are already so familiar with it.

Another aspect that serves as an example would be Coca-Cola's availability in almost every restaurant in Atlanta. In China, we have almost the same popularity for Pepsi-Cola and Coca-Cola. However, in Atlanta, wherever we go, we will find Coca-Cola. Pepsi is just so rare that I only find it at one restaurants--Arby's. That's very interesting and also understandable. People in Atlanta just love Coca-Cola so much.

Then what is the cause for such popularity? I think there are two reasons. For one thing, Atlanta is where Coca-Cola was born. People here certainly will support their own brand. For another, Coca-Cola is so good at advertising. The use of Santa Claus and polar bears in its advertisements is so wonderful.

Honestly, I’ve also become a fan of Coca-Cola now.

My opinions about belief and science

When comes to terms with belief, we all may feel mysterious about it. However, I do think that everyone live in this world has his or her own belief, because of the life he(or she) had experienced he had his own style of life and established his own character, so, although we may find someone we dislike or even hate, we should treat him with respect.

Belief is a kind of thing that born in a person's heart, a person have the determination to work hard, achieve his dreams and even do what he had ever promised just because of his belief . Belief is one of the most important things in the human society, only because of its existence can we feel warm in this society and the sunshine of humanity. Besides, the most confirmed belief builds the religion, which can even make people willing to scarify their lives in order to implements their dreams or believes. But what about science? In fact, science is a branch have the equal position to belief, whose job is to explain the essence in this world, it's independent but has closely connection to the belief. However, what is currently happening is that the high tech is pushing people into a dangerous region at where people only think of money and themselves, they become selfish and confused and don't know what they are pursuing for in their lives. From my view point, science should be something make this society better and warmer instead of something destroy the peace and harmony of this society.

What I think the relation between belief and science is that they are both important to this world, for science can make our physical lives better and belief can give us the direction to going further. We should try to focus more on our believes in this high tech but confusing society, I believe we can still establish a warmer society full of happiness.
